We need movers and those who love to move to help us create our works that celebrate shared space and connection.

So, whether you're a dancer or you simply dance in the privacy of your living room, ALL are welcome. Grab your family, friends, and neighbors, learn new ways of moving, and join us! You'll be a part of a fun, playful creative process with Artistic Director Larry Keigwin, co-choreographer Nicole Wolcott, and K+C dancers.

Let’s Make a Dance Classes

Artistic Director Larry Keigwin believes that “the art of choreography is about excavating personalities, shaping stories, and building communities.”

In KEIGWIN + COMPANY’s Let’s Make a Dance classes, we share the company’s collaborative process whether you’re a dancer, dance in the privacy of your living room, or have never hit the dance floor before, ALL are welcome. No previous dance experience required — just enthusiasm, energy, and a sense of humor. From the first moment to the last, we create collaboratively using a playful spirit to guide the group through improvisational games and tasks, with an aim for individuals to uncover the joy of their unique physicality and creativity while delighting in shared experience of movement and creation.

Registration Fee: $85 for three classes

  • Just in case I don't get the opportunity after the show tonight to express to each and every member of the Keigwin + Company how utterly impressed and moved I am not only by your individual and collective talents as performers, but the degree to which each of you has shared your creative energies and spirits with us "common folk." You made each one of us grow beyond our individual fears and egos to this wonderful place of synergistic participation.   • Some 80 people spent more than 50 hours of rehearsing, sharing and creating something unique. In the process new audiences where made aware of the Performing Arts Center. Some came back after 20 years for the first time again! The children in our group had an experience that went far beyond the learning of listening to an adult giving directions. They learned cooperation, depending on one another and how to support each other so that the “whole” benefits and becomes a reality. And the adults made friends.

  • I want to thank you for bringing the "Bolero Project" to the Two River Theater and giving the Red Bank area residents the opportunity to be a part of this legacy. It has been a privilege watching you create the ballet. Your willingness to accept the ideas of the group with patience and a sense of humor is a lesson we should all apply to our lives.
