Rhapsody

What is Rhapsody?

Rhapsody is a community work that enlivens public parks and harnesses the unique spirit and talents of its diverse cast of performers to create a moving outdoor celebration of art-making, humanity, and shared space, accompanied by live music by multi-instrumentalist William Catanzaro and CHAIN. K+C aims to activate parks as an essential gathering places and invites audiences to experience their parks, their fellow community members, and dance in vibrant new ways. Each version of Rhapsody is shaped and informed by its unique outdoor setting and singular cast members of dancers and non-dancers. Rhapsody is a collaboration between Artistic Director Larry Keigwin and Associate Nicole Wolcott with the cast.

Rhapsody has been created with generous support by Rockefeller Brothers Fund, New York State Council on the Arts, and with public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council.
